Tonight

Tonight I will finally get to see the family that I was a live-in nanny for while we were engaged!

It has been almost three years since I have seen them and I am so exited to spend time again with them. I had watched them since the littlest one was just 6 months old and then moved to full time for a year. We became very close to the kids, they were all in our wedding. I can't wait to finally see them again.

Pinkalicious

Have you seen this book?
It's about a little girl who eats so many pink cupcakes she turns pink. It is possibly the world's cutest little kids book. Next time you are strolling around Target take a minute to read it!
*
I have been feeling a little pinkalicious myself lately. I won another pair of J Crew pink shoes this week on eBay. Shh, don't tell hubby. He wouldn't understand the need of two pairs of pink shoes.
I have always loved their driving moccasins and I can't wait to wear them.

Random Thoughts of a Monday

Like my new shoes! They were only $20 on eBay.
I am so excited to wear them this summer with all of my skirts and dresses.
According to Neiman Marcus PINK is super hot for spring, I am so excited!
*
No bad side effects today and my face is looking better every morning!
*
I actually made it to the gym today!
*
My husband cleaned the entire kitchen and then mopped the floor!
He then spilled red cool aide on my new Williams Sonoma towels that were way too expensive.
*
I am almost done with the fourth Twilight book, Breaking Dawn. I have loved the series even though I was very resistant at first. I really only started reading them out of obligation. (My Young Life girls were all reading them and talking about them all the time.)

Going going gone

My ebay auctions are almost finished...
There are still 4 pairs of shoes that are not bid on so there are some great deals.
Please let me know if one of you wins any of the shoes, I will have to include a little something extra in your package!
*
Also thank you so much for your great advice yesterday!
I will continue to take the meds but I will make sure I take them on a full stomach and with tons of water. I learned my lesson this morning when I ended up suddenly getting sick to my stomach. This week is the true test because it is normally my worst for breakouts.
I promise not every post will talk about this from now on.
Hope that your weekend was great!

Which it worse?

I am facing a dilemma right now that is so hard to choose what to do.
I posted a few days ago about how I had finally found new medicine for my face that hopefully will stop my terrible breakouts. I have been taking an antibiotic for over a week now and it really is making a difference with my face. It is however making me feel terrible, I have been dizzy and I feel disoriented almost like I am constantly in a large crowd. I have been very lethargic and even depressed. I have also had a weird taste in my mouth and food tastes very different. I talked to a pharmacist today and she said they are side effects and that they should go away as I become use to the meds.
*
Do I stop taking the meds and feel better but continue to get huge cystic breakouts that are scaring my face? Or do I just live with these weird side effects and hope they get better with time?

Valentine's Day Recap

Last night I went to bed with this little terrible thought in my head,
"Does my hubby really love me as much as I love him?"
I can't tell you what started this thought or how little thoughts like this can ruin your marriage. I truly think it is a version of spiritual warfare that the devil uses to sabotage.
Well I woke up knowing that how loved I truly am. He spent all morning emptying the dishwasher, loading it back up and washing all the pots and pans. He even made me my morning coffee, a big deal for someone who hates coffee!
*
Here are a few pictures from Valentine's Day!
We went to Buca di Beppo and then downtown again for the Denver Mammoth game (our professional lacrosse team).
We got free cotton candy when we were walking out of the game!

Hopefully this will make your day!

Ladies I decided to buy up all the J Crew shoes so that hopefully I could pass along the amazing savings to all of you! I even called all of the Denver TJ Maxx's to see if they also gotten in a shipment but only the original one that I found them at had. Once I add in the taxes, eBay fees and shipping I will just be breaking even if you are the lowest bidder. Hopefully some of you can get some great deals. Most of these shoes were originally well over $100.
I even have two pairs of Collection shoes for sale.
(J Crew's higher end line.)

Here are just a few of the great shoes.

FInally some relief

A while ago I asked all of you for any advice you may have for me and my acne problem...
You girls were so helpfully and gave me some really great advice. There we also quite a few of you that said you were dealing with the exact same problem. This post may have too much information but hopefully it will help those of you who are dealing with the same problem. Feel free to skip it though!
*
Let's just say I tried all of your suggestions and nothing really helped my type of acne. I decided that something was very different was going on and FINALLY decided to make a dermatologist appointment.
*
My hubby went with me and really wanted me to tell her I pick my face all the time. Gross, I know but seriously it hurts so badly if I don't pop them. She replied with a simple "I can tell" and went on like it was no big deal! I was so happy that she seemed to understand and that he knew the solution would be to clear up my face so that I wouldn't have anything to pick at.
*
She gave me samples of two different creams, Duac and Tazorac, and an oral antibiotic. I had tried an antibiotic before but it really didn't make a difference but I figured it couldn't hurt to try again with these creams. I started using these all right away and found such a difference. I was still getting acne but they came right to the surface and once I popped them they didn't bug me anymore. This was completely the opposite of the cysts that I use to get that would be large and inflamed for days on end. I no longer had my hands constantly on my face when I was bored since there was nothing left to pick at. I used up my sample of the antibiotic that she gave me and went to fill my prescriptions!
*
When I picked them up I knew they would be expensive so I wasn't too shocked that the total was $158. I didn't realize that they had only give me one of the three though till I got home. When I called back they explained they had to order them and would have them in tomorrow for me. A few minutes later they called back though and informed me that the oral antibiotic would be $550 and the other cream would be $250. I almost started to cry, I found something that was working but now this was happening. The amazing woman at Walgreen's called my dermatologist though and found me some other great solutions! The whole process took a few days though and while I was still using the cream samples I no longer had anymore pills to take. My face started to get nasty cysts again that were painful and wouldn't go away.
I finally have a new antibiotic though that was only $40 a month and I am going to get a very similar version of the cream that I have samples for so that it will be cheaper. It has been quite the journey but I hopefully have found a solution!
*
If any of you are having the same problems make an appointment with your dermatologist not just your doctor. Also another downfall is that we have to "actively" prevent any pregnancy for the next 3 months. I am not a big fan of the pill and it really isn't a solution for only 3 months of prevention. At least I have my wedding ring to prove I am married so that the clerk can see I am married when I go buy condoms at the store! It still feels naughty though.

J Crew and Coach at TJ Maxx!

I hope that your Valentines Day's are going great. Hopefully I can make your day a little sweeter with some exciting news.
The rumors are true, TJ Maxx is selling J Crew shoes from $15 to $20 a pair.
I really don't get how they are selling them for so cheap when online they are over $100 for the heels and at least $80 for sandals.

These are the pairs I purchased tonight.

The heels are just the perfect height, I already know I could wear them comfortably for hours on end.

I also picked up a pair of Coach glasses for $60 rather than $160. The top pair was $10 and I figured, since that was cheaper than Target prices and I loved them, it couldn't hurt to have a pair for when you don't want to bring your expensive ones.
They also had tons of great brands for clothing, I was actually tempted to browse for clothes. I normally just skip the clothes and look at the accessories and home stuff. I have seen clothes there that I liked but felt like they really weren't that amazing of a deal.
*
I was very determined tonight so when one store didn't have the shoes I tried another and was successful. They all have such different stuff so check multiple if you can/need to.

My favorite things

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things...
Williams Sonoma finally has pink and green towels! They also have blue and green that are so pretty. I just couldn't bring myself to spend $40 on kitchen towels.
My orchid from last fall has new buds on it that will hopefully bloom soon!
I was just about to give up on it. I always kill them because I was watering them too much. I finally know how to take care of them!
My neighbor who works as a clothing rep gave me 4 pairs of jeans for free! I think he is just sweet, my hubby is a little apprehensive of him. (We all went to the same high school and neighbor was really good friends with hubby's cousin growing up.) I am a really good judge of character so I am not really worried about him.
*
Also love that the people at the firehouse got switched around so that hubby isn't alone at the firehouse all the time with one of the girl firefighters. I TOTALLY trust him but still it is weird to have your hubby all alone with another woman.
We found Ridley's favorite rope toys in the dollar section of Target.
She was so excited when we brought home a pack of three for her tonight.
$10 at Target rather than the $40 that it originally was.
Target is having great sales, not just 10% off like normal. Every section has stuff for 75% off.
This is where it will go! Obviously it will be hung higher.
Why do closets always look so messy in photos even if they are really organized?
Ridley so tired that she was falling asleep on hubby's lap.
She perked right up again though when she smelled food.
Tired again this time with hubby as well!
It has really been a great day and I am so excited I have found so many great things.

A sweet little game to play with your love

Look at what I found this morning when I went to make coffee!
I started this tradition about a year ago of hiding this heart in random places that I know my hubby will eventually stumble across. He finds it and then hides it for me.
I can't tell you the smile that it brings to my face when I find it in a new unexpected hiding place. This is really such a sweet easy game to play with your loved ones. I have heard of another couple who do the same with a feather as well so really you can start to play with almost any object!

I know that not all of you are interested in Weight Watchers or losing weight but I am doing a "series" on my other blog that may interest all of you. I am going to be doing posts on nutrients, food groups and vitamins and most importantly how they affect our bodies. It will have some to do with ww but mostly about feeling better since we all want to be healthy and feel great! My first post is about fiber and what it does when we eat it.
Seriously it does amazing things so go check it out!

Baby Bella

I wanted to introduce you all to one of my new favorite little girls!

Her name is Bella and she was born just this week.

Her mother had a very smooth easy delivery. Doesn't she look beautiful!
This was less than an hour after she delivered with no makeup touch ups.
With mommy and daddy

Bella with her older sister Elaina!
When Elaina came in to see her new sister she kept on saying baby and trying to unwrap the blankets to see her. Doesn't she look like a baby doll?
I have a question for all of you long haired girls! I really need a haircut and I am so tempted just to stop by Ulta and get a trim. Have any of you ever done this and had great results?
Also should I just ask them for a trim, to cut it all the same length or slightly layered?
I have lots of very straight heavy hair, not thick strands but lots of it. I just want to be able to let it air dry on lazy days.

Handbag day at the mall!

Lately I have been feeling like I have hardly any long sleeve tops to last me through the last few months of winter. I decided that I was going to find some long sleeve shirt/sweaters or jackets to get me through till I can pull out all of my summer dresses! I had a little luck finding these but I managed to find a ton of accessories that I had to have.
*
The first was a wallet that is a pretty shade of gray from Anthropologie. It was only $10!

The cute inside and a more accurate color sample
I loved this clutch, can't wait to use it!

Basic black from Nordstrom. My only hesitation is how large it is.

I am too lazy to rotate this photo but how cute is this swim bag for your wet suit! The inside is lined with plastic so it doesn't get everything else in your bag wet.
Around $10 from the gap outlet.

Another Nordstrom find, I love the pink but the yellow really is calling out my name right now.

Quite the roller coaster

We have had quite the emotional ride lately. I thought that I was pregnant and I am still quite sure that I was. For about a week and a half I had all the pregnancy symptoms including my boobs getting much fuller and heavier. It is so weird to go from having it constantly in the back of my mind to nonexistent anymore. I know that God has us in his hands though and that his plan really is so much better than we could ever imagine. I really find peace in the fact that if we got pregnant once it will happen again.
