Secret Life of Bees

I am so excited that some of my favorite books are being made into movies! I love anything by Nicolas Sparks and was so ecstatic when I heard Nights in Rodanthe would be the fourth of his to be captured on film. We saw it last week, let me say that the book is a million times better than they were able to portray.

Since that was such a letdown I am hoping that the Secret Life of Bees will be almost as amazing as the book was. If you are planning on reading the book before seeing the movie know that I had such an incredible hard time starting this book but loved it once I got a few chapters in. I was so determined to read it because it came so highly recommended by my Grandma (not the same one as in the last post.) Almost all of the book that I read are books that my Grandma gives me to read and all have been amazing.

I love this picture of my Grandma! My wedding photographer did such an amazing job doing the impossible, getting a great photo of her. She always has the most awkward smile in her photos.

We will also be seeing Fireproof this Tuesday! My grandparents have been recommending this movie every time we talk to them. I will let you know how it is. I already am anticipating that it will hit very close to home since my husband is also a firefighter. Ladder 49 also hit very close for the same reason and we were only dating at that point.
