I heard two great quotes this week that I thought I would pass on, they were just too funny not to mention.
The first one was from my darling husband.
"We already have two captains and a mascot, why not add some players to the team? "
The second was on 7th heaven, I still love that show!
"Do you want to be right or do you want to be married."

We took our little mascot this weekend to the park while we threw around the lacrosse ball. She was quite confused and not super happy that she was tied to a tree. She spent the entire time going nuts when anyone would walk by. It was such a nice day and so great to finally spend some time outside. Today while it is snowing where most of you are the high in Denver today is 64! Don't worry though we are getting snow later this week.

We also went to the mall this weekend which caused quite the discussion.
I picked up some new Bare Mineral concealer and the husband didn't even blink. The next day this conversation followed.
"How much was that makeup you got yesterday"
"$20, why?"
"Good" as he goes back to his computer. "I just won a new shaft for my lacrosse stick for only $30!"
We had just had the discussion the day before that he couldn't get the new lacrosse head that he wanted until we had gone to the park at least 5 times and then I would get it for his birthday in May.
What is the difference between a necessity and a want?
I consider replacing makeup and skincare that had run out a necessity, Hubby doesn't see it that way though. He sees spending over $110 a 4th lacrosse stick the same way I see my purchase. Does anyone else's husband do the same thing?

AHH we had this same conversation when I had to get some makeup after Christmas... He doesn't understand. It must be a guy thing.
My wonderful husband sees it the same way. Except our disagreements revolve around my "beauty money" vs. his "beer money." I always argue that what I buy gets multiple uses...his beer on the other hand only lasts until his next trip to the bathroom! Ugh men!
Hmmm - I think my husband understands make-up. He has more problems with haircuts, but he also thinks there is very little that I buy that is "necessity."
We haven't lived together long enough to get into it, but there are some beauty products that are necessary and some that aren't. Furthermore, I spend money on the higher priced products because I'm not spending $100+/month on makeup. Things like concealer, mascara, foundation etc. last a long time. But I am a makeup maven, thus biased.
Uhhh yes my hubby does the same thing! He thinks if I spend $100 on makeup he should get to spend $100 on a toy for him!!! I'm like...hello...makeup is a NEED, not a want or a toy!
Such a cute pup! I feel ya on the the makeup thing - for me it is a necessity. If it makes you feel good and makes you happy, do it! He will usually understand. I agree with SassyEngineer though - DP does not understand why a hair cut costs so much! To be honest, sometimes I don't either!
This post could have easily been written by me about my husband...apparently they're all clueless! It's nice to know I'm not the only one =). I look forward to following!!
Thanks for your comments!! The one about the thermometer and the wine was hysterical...very much me!! I just officially started charting today so we'll keep our fingers crossed and see what happens. Has it been easy for you to chart? It seems slightly complicated!! It's nice to know someone else is out there doing the same thing I am. I'm 26 and my hubby's a few years older too so he was definitely starting to hear his clock tick as well. When I brought up trying he was all ears =) Do you know the Indy area ( since you mentioned that adorable store near Nordstroms ) ?
