It is just me?

Has anyone else out there noticed that they don't make hair ties like they use to?
I am not sure if it is because my hair has gotten much longer than before or if I am wearing them too tight but they seem to lose their elasticity after one or two uses.

So it's not just me! I went from store to store trying to find Goody's like my original ones...I swear up and down they changed the elastic in them! I did find that the cheap Walgreen's brand is the best and most elastic brand out there. They're usually in a plastic tub on the shelf underneath all the nicely displayed Goody etc brand ones.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with that problem! I have been using the same kind (black, thin Goody's) for years and they definitely wear out quicker than they used to! I swear it's like after one time in my hair they are all stretched out!!

I FEEL THE SAME WAY!!!! I swim laps and after like two uses they are all huge and saggy! What the eff!

I was thinking the same thing two days ago. After the second use I need to go and use a new one. Uuggghhh!

No, it is most definitely NOT just you. My friends and I think its a ploy to make you buy more hair elastics.

Stupid companies!

I haven't noticed this but my hair is pretty thin.

I completely agree!! I used to have one or 2 stretched out ones in the collection. Now I have to fish through to find one that ISN'T stretched out!!

We should be contacting Goody!

I wouldn't know. I lose them before they can wear out. One day I'm going to find like 100 of them hiding in the couch or something! Haha!

I have noticed that they don't last for weeks like they used. Personally I loved the good ole days when the hair tyes had the metal clasp on them. I currently still have one, its at least 15 years old and still is better than the new goody hairbands.

Mine stretch out way too fast. Very annoying.

I totally agree...they aren't anything like they used to be, and the elasticity has definitely decreased! I'm not a fan!

It is most certainly not you! It drives me crazy, I like to put them on my wrist for those just in case moments and I can't stand when they are loose!

No it is not just you...and thank you for posting this and making me feel like I am not crazy! The last package I bought I felt like I could use them maybe twice and then they were too loose for me. Before I could use them until I lost them. It sucks!

I throw mine away after about 3-5 times of using it. So wasteful but they are pointless after that.

Definitely not just you- it drives me nuts!! I have been using the ones that are threaded with rubber and they seem to work better than the others.
The old ones with metal on them used to work the best but you can't find them anywhere anymore!

I agree 100%. I have thick hair, but mine wear out so quick and sometimes even break.

It's not just you. My hair doesn't even hit my shoulders and I go through a hair elastic at least every four days. It's so annoying!

I know! What is that about??
