A sad day

I am writing this post on pure emotion right now. My husband's Grandmother passed away today. We were lucky enough to be be with her and actually praying for her while she passed away. Sadly I didn't realize how close to death she was and wasn't able to visit with her before she slipped away. The biggest thing that I wanted to ask her was questions of the diamond in my engagement ring. It is a family heirloom that belonged to her and is at least 100 years old. I wish that I could learn more than that fact that is to be passed along to the Reid of the family, a name we will pass along to the oldest son or the last born of all girls if that is what God gives us. The day was hard because the experience today brought back memories of my own Grandmother passing almost exactly three years ago. Please keep my family in your prayers this week as we have a celebration of life and scatter the ashes.
