Before I tell you the story about my terrible hair cut experience know it is the experience that upset me not the haircut, luckily.
*
I made a hair appointment with a hair dresser at Ulta that two of my friends recommended. I showed up for my appointment right on time and the woman tells me that the stylist I had book with is out on medical leave. She then tells me that all of his clients were called already. It's pretty obvious by this time that I have no idea what exactly is going on so she offers to have my eyebrows waxed. I had plucked my eyebrows right before my appointment so I was a little apprehensive but I figured why not get them cleaned up.
*
Before the waxer even started I told her I was so confused as to what was going on so she said she would go check for me. She came back and said the woman I talked to was the manager and that she would cut my hair when we were done.
After my eyebrows were done she gave me a slip to give the front desk when I check out. It was at this time I realized I'm suppose to pay for this. I obviously didn't plan on getting waxed nor ask for it and now I have to pay $20 plus a 20% tip. I was beyond uncomfortable on top of not having the stylist I knew would give me a great cut.

I mentioned it to the manager who was about to cut my hair and she replied with "well what did you think was going to happen?" Then she was so busy switching my former appointment on the computer that we never got the wax resolved.
The person who had made my appointment spelled my name wrong, put in my phone number incorrectly and had made my appointment the length of an eyebrow wax not a haircut so that's where all the confusion started.

The appointment was the most stressful haircut I have ever gotten. There was no conversation, the entire time she talked and talked and went on. A manager from another salon came and they both ranted about work for at least 30 minutes.
*
I realized I was running late and left before my hair was completely done. I mentioned again that I wasn't planning on getting my eyebrows done and she said "I know you feel uncomfortable about it so I will take care if it." She pulled the store manager aside and I know from her personality that she bitched about what had happened.

By the time I got to the car I had been so overwhelmed for over an hour and a half that I started to cry. I was looking forward to a little pampering and the entire experience was not what I had expected. The friends who had recommend their hairdresser warned me that he was so focused on the cut he won't talk much. They also said that he would give me some great tips on the best ways to style my hair. I was expecting a relaxing peaceful experience and a great haircut and I left in tears. I had always thought it was crazy when I heard of people crying over a haircut, before yesterday.

I got a decent haircut but it is way more layered than I asked for. We talked about gradual layers that would blend in and mine are choppy at best. It isn't as bad when I curl the ends under with my straightener.

I think the haircut but I'm so sorry about the experience... I can't believe that they would screw up SO badly with your appointment. Soo annoying.
I love the haircut, but I would, since it's very similar to my own! I put giant hot rollers in mine and since my hair doesn't hold a curl it just gives it lift and turns the ends under a bit.
That sounds like a horrible experience! Actually just shopping there has never been a good experience for me. I definitely cannot believe they expected you to pay for the brow wax after offering it to you!
With that experience I'm surprised they have any customers! Luckily your haircut still looks good!
I would have cried too! The cut is cute makes your hair look really healthy. Booo on Ulta!!
I'm sorry about your haircut experience! But your hair looks good :)
I agree...the haircut looks great, but I can understand how you must have felt. I definitely would've cried too! How frustrating!
looks good. sorry you had such a bad experience. i probably would've left and not even had them cut it
I totally get where you're coming from. It's a total letdown when that happens... I know because I've been the crier before! :) I ran straight to the store and bought hair/nail pills because it had been cut super short despite what I'd asked for. It doesn't look bad in the pics, if that's any consolation.
I'm so sorry about your haircut experience. I got my hair cut yesterday at Supercuts because I just wanted the dead ends cut...not really a style or anything. Well, I came home with my hair at least 4 inches shorter in the front. :s It is VERY layered and I really wanted a little trim. My hair is pretty thin so I don't like lots of choppy layers on me. I'm just thankful it will grow! :) BUT, the girl who cut my hair was so nice and kind so I didn't really care about the cut. Mean people stink! :s
aww you poor thing. That is horrible, I hate when people are unprofessional and have bad customer service. it totally sounded like she was offering you the wax for free, so stupid!
Awww that's so frustrating, getting your haircut should be relaxing, not stressful. I like the cut though, I'm big on layers, and it looks like you styled them well.
That is awful! What a horrible place. Your hair looks great!
I had a horrible experience at an Ulta salon before too. I felt like I could have gotten better service at Great Clips for half the price.
What a bummer but I do like the new style!
I am so sorry about your sucky experience! On another note, I read the ww blog post-yay on trying! Good luck!
I can't believe you received that kind of customer service and from manager's no less!
What a horrible thing to have to go through, so sorry to hear that it was such an awful experience. On the plus side, your hair looks great!
Wow that is absolutely horrible...I can't believe they screwed up your appointment and then were so rude/sketchy. On the plus side though your hair looks great!
I think it is Ulta in general. I had a similar experience there and I haven't set foot in that place since!
