Hope all is well

When you send some one a message and they end with
"hope all is well with you"
what does that mean?

I sign cards that way and I think of it as a way to cover the bases even if you aren't sure what's been going on in someone's life day to day.

Honestly, I probably sign that on anything I send someone that I don't talk to often. It's kind of my way of saying... "thinking of you", I guess.

I use this all the time.
I use it to mean that I hope you are doing well in ALL aspects of your life.

I use it all the time when I am talking with someone that I don't talk to on a regular basis, just as a way to wrap things up and let them know I hope things are going well for them. This is a regular convo I have on FB all the time.

I don't know...I say this all the time, as well. I just mean, hope everything is going well in your life.

I agree with BakerGirl - I use this, too in personal and professional emails. Just to genuinely say "I hope you're well."

I think just wrapping up your thoughts and trying to say hope everything is good with you... xxxxoo

I say this all the time too. I just mean, in a nicer more professional way, to say, "hope you're great!"

I think it means "I recognize that we hardly talk, so I'm trying to show that I still care" haha
